Gene: [04q321/HVBS6] hepatitis B virus integration site 6 (hepatocarcinoma); hepatocarcinoma (hepatitis B virus integration site 6); [D4S122 HCC2 ]

COM

[1] The MIM catalogues describe this marker both as site 2 and as site 6 of hepatitis B virus integration (HVBS2#), with 4q32.1 location. In HGM and CCM, HVBS2 is absent, but a site HVBS6 is registered in 4q32. Evidently it is this same locus that is inclined.
[2] Moreover, the same gene was referred to in literature as an anonymous DNA fragment D4S112 or D4S122. The latter was excluded from HGM10 because the own name, HVBS6, was assigned to the gene. However, the reason for including the name D4S112 with location 4q26-qt in the HGM catalogues is unclear, since Blanquet-1988 demonstrated that this marker is located in 4q32.1 and is a probe for HVBS6, too."
