Gene: [10^/PYHG1] protein spot in 2-D gels (MM 218 kD);

COM

[1] In 1982 Taggart-1982 reported on the location (at different chromosomes) of 22 genes coding for various proteins identified only by the two-dimensional electrophoresis, i.e. without the ascertaining of structural and functional characteristics. In HGM7, all these genes were included in the general catalogue of mapped genes under the common symbol of PYHG.
[2] The PYHG5 gene located at chromosome 6 have been excluded from HGM9.5 catalogue for lack of additional data identifying this gene and its product. The opinion of the Commitee on Genetic Constitution of Chromosome 6 seems to be not shared by other Commitees on Genetic Constitution, since other PYHG genes have been included in CCM92 and HGM catalogues."
