Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are a class of enzymes that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. These enzymes are necessarily present in each cell and must properly recognize the tRNA and the amino acid in order to maintain fidelity of translation. Each of the amino acid synthetases catalyzes the attachment of their respective amino acids to the appropriate tRNA (see FAM:RNR/00.0)."
